Copper8 speaker at Nordic Green Growth Seminar

On Friday November 11th, the Nordic region will host their ‘Nordic Green Growth through Public Procurement’ seminar in Copenhagen. During this seminar private and public parties from the five Nordic countries will come together in order to share knowledge about sustainable and circular procurement. Cécile van Oppen has been asked to take part in a panel discussion on circular procurement.

Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland have been making leaps in the area of sustainability and the Circular Economy. The countries are known to be frontrunners in the area of renewable energy, and Finland recently published their roadmap to a Circular Economy.

The seminar is organized by Norden (the cooepration between ministers from the region), the Nordic Region, Grønne Indkøb and Forum for Baeredygtige Indkøb. The seminar will feature presentations on best practices, the newest developments in terms of sustainable and circular procurement, as well as the presentation of the Danish ‘green procurement award’.

In the afternoon session, a panel of international experts will share their insights on circular Procurement. The panelists are: Mark Hidson (ICLEI), Michael Damm (Aalborg), Pia Yasuko Rask (Grunfoss) and Cécile van Oppen (Copper8).
