On Thursday 4 April, the new Circular Procurement Guide (Wegwijzer Circulair Inkopen in Dutch) was launched – it provides strategic and practical tools for buyers, project leaders, sustainability coordinators and directors. The new Guide contains the latest insights and in-depth background information, along with many practical examples and useful tips.
The Circular Procurement Guide zooms in on different areas of circular procurement. It starts with getting the internal organization on board: how do you set goals and policy, and how do you involve the various stakeholders? It also covers how to complete a procurement process that incorporates circularity in the right way. Finally, it outlines opportunities for different product groups, with important points of attention highlighted.
Green Deal on Circular Purchasing 2.0
The Circular Procurement Guide is based on the Circular Procurement 2.0 Green Deal (Green Deal Circulair Inkopen 2.0) – an initiative of PIANOo, MVO Nederland, NEVI and Rijkswaterstaat, in which more than forty public and private organizations are working together to accelerate the transition to the circular economy. Copper8 contributed to the shaping of the Guide’s content.
