Mathijs clearly sees the connection between all the objects and materials around us and the nature they come from. When he looks at a wooden piece of furniture, he sees the trees from which it was formed. His mission is to inspire others to appreciate the value of the materials around us and to handle them with care.

With enthusiasm and energy, he is always ready to help. Mathijs has a background in physics, which means he enjoys diving deep into the content in a focused and purposeful way.

Just as he aims to inspire movement in others through his work, he also loves to move himself — preferably in nature. There, he marvels at the behavior of birds and the growth patterns of trees, and this is why he dreams of a society in which humans and nature complement each other.
