In March 2021, Lucie Jansen started an investigation into ‘Double VAT’ with us. In her research, she is looking for concrete cases in which a double VAT is levied on recycled or reused raw materials, for example, and in particular for cases where this VAT construction is an obstacle for the entrepreneur.
Lucie completed a Master’s in Business Administration at the UvA and is now doing a second Master’s in Political Science, with a specific focus on sustainability.
In her research, Lucie is guided by both Copper8 and BUURMAN, one of the companies that has to contend with Double VAT to be competitive.
